This Cookie Policy explains how There's a Book in Everyone (a trading name of Around Tenby Ltd) uses cookies and similar technologies. It should be read alongside our Privacy Policy.

What are cookies?

Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website. They help sites work, remember your preferences, keep you signed in, measure usage and (with your consent) deliver more relevant content. We also use similar technologies such as localStorage and session storage, which we group under "cookies" for simplicity.

The categories of cookies we use

1. Essential cookies (always on)

These cookies are necessary for the platform to work. They keep you signed in, keep the site secure, remember the items in your project workspace, and remember your cookie preferences. You can't switch these off because the site won't work without them.

These cookies remember choices you make (such as your sidebar layout, preferred font size or recent projects) to give you a more personalised experience.

These cookies help us understand how people use the platform so we can improve it — for example, which features are used most often and where users encounter errors. We use these in an aggregated way and try to minimise the personal data involved.

These cookies let us measure the effectiveness of any marketing campaigns and, in some cases, show you relevant ads on other sites. We only set them after you've given consent.

5. Payment and security cookies

These are essential cookies set by our payment provider (Stripe) and by our security/fraud-prevention systems. They are required to process payments safely.

The first time you visit the site, you'll see our cookie banner with three clear options:

  • Accept all — turns on all categories.
  • Reject non-essential — only keeps essential cookies.
  • Manage preferences — choose category by category.

You can change your mind at any time by clicking Cookie preferences in the site footer.

We do not load non-essential analytics, functional or marketing cookies until you have given consent.

Third-party cookies

Some cookies are set by third parties acting on our behalf, including:

  • Stripe — payment processing and fraud detection.
  • Supabase — authentication session cookies.
  • Resend / email providers — open and click tracking in transactional emails (with your consent for marketing emails).
  • Analytics providers — only loaded with consent.

These third parties are responsible for the cookies they set under their own privacy policies.

How to manage cookies in your browser

Most browsers let you block or delete cookies through their settings. Blocking essential cookies will stop the platform from working properly. Useful guides:
