1. Introduction

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of There's a Book in Everyone, an AI-assisted book creation platform operated by Around Tenby Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales. "There's a Book in Everyone" is a trading name of Around Tenby Ltd. In these Terms, "we", "us" and "our" mean Around Tenby Ltd; "you" means the person or organisation using the platform.

By creating an account or using the platform, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you don't agree, please don't use the platform.

2. What the platform does

There's a Book in Everyone helps you plan, write, edit, design covers, prepare metadata, prepare publishing exports and receive marketing support for your books, using AI-assisted tools.

The platform is a creative support tool. It does not replace professional legal, financial, editorial, publishing or copyright advice.

3. Your account

  • You must be at least 16 years old to create an account.
  • You must provide accurate information and keep it up to date.
  • You are responsible for keeping your password and account secure, and for everything that happens under your account.
  • You must not share your account with anyone else or attempt to access another user's account.

4. Subscription plans and AI credits

  • The platform is offered on Free, Storyteller and Master Author plans (and any other plans we publish from time to time).
  • Each plan includes a monthly allowance of AI credits, which are consumed when you make AI-powered requests (drafting, editing, generating covers, etc).
  • Plan features, project limits and monthly credit allowances are described on our Pricing page.
  • Free plans have reduced features and project limits. Paid plans unlock additional features and higher limits.
  • Enterprise plans (if offered) are governed by a separate written agreement that, where it conflicts with these Terms, takes precedence for that customer.
  • Referral, tester, promotional and welcome credits may be added to your account from time to time. They are non-transferable and have no cash value.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to use the platform to:

  • create or distribute unlawful, harmful, defamatory, infringing, harassing, hateful or abusive content;
  • generate content that exploits or endangers children;
  • impersonate any person or organisation;
  • attempt to reverse engineer, scrape, overload or compromise the platform;
  • circumvent plan limits, credit limits, rate limits or paywalls;
  • resell access to the platform without our written permission.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that breach these rules.

6. AI usage — important

The platform uses AI to help you plan books, structure books, generate drafts, rewrite content, edit content, proofread content, review books, create cover concepts, generate metadata, prepare marketing copy and support publishing preparation.

You acknowledge that:

  • AI outputs may not always be accurate, original, complete or suitable for publication without human review.
  • You are responsible for reviewing, editing and approving all final content before publication or commercial use.
  • The platform is a creative support tool and does not replace professional legal, financial, editorial, publishing or copyright advice.
  • You must not use the platform to create unlawful, harmful, defamatory, infringing or abusive content.

7. User content and ownership

  • You retain ownership of the original content you upload (your ideas, manuscripts, photos, notes, etc).
  • You are responsible for ensuring you have the rights to upload and use any text, images, manuscripts or other materials.
  • You grant us a limited, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, process, transmit and display your content only to the extent necessary to operate, secure and support the platform for you. This licence ends when you delete the content or your account (subject to backups being rotated out within a reasonable period).
  • AI-generated outputs are provided to you for your use, subject to these Terms and any limits imposed by the underlying AI providers.
  • We cannot guarantee that AI-generated content will be unique, copyright-free, non-infringing, or accepted by any publisher or marketplace.
  • You are responsible for the final copyright position of anything you publish.

8. Publishing preparation — disclaimer

There's a Book in Everyone helps you prepare content for publishing but does not guarantee that a book will be accepted by Amazon KDP, IngramSpark, retailers, publishers or any other third-party platform.

You remain responsible for checking publishing platform rules, formatting requirements, metadata, copyright position, image rights, ISBN requirements and tax/payment setup.

We do not guarantee sales, rankings, reviews, royalties, visibility or commercial success.

9. Payment terms

  • Paid plans are billed in advance through Stripe, in the currency shown at checkout.
  • Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period unless cancelled.
  • You can cancel at any time from your Account settings; cancellation stops future renewals but does not refund the current period unless required by law or our Refund Policy.
  • If a payment fails, we may retry the charge and may suspend access to paid features until the issue is resolved.
  • Prices may change. We will give you reasonable notice (at least 30 days) of any price change before it applies to your next renewal.

10. Refunds

Refunds are governed by our separate Refund and Cancellation Policy, which forms part of these Terms.

11. Service availability and changes

  • We aim to keep the platform available 24/7 but do not guarantee uninterrupted service.
  • We may add, change, suspend or remove features at any time. Where a change is material and adverse, we will try to give you reasonable notice.
  • Planned maintenance and emergency fixes may cause downtime.

12. Suspension and termination

We may suspend or terminate your account if you breach these Terms, if your payment fails, if your usage threatens the security or integrity of the platform, or if we are required to do so by law.

You can close your account at any time from the Account settings. We use a 30-day soft-delete window so you can change your mind, after which your personal data is permanently removed (subject to legal retention requirements).

13. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law:

  • the platform is provided "as is" and "as available";
  • we exclude all implied warranties;
  • we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive losses, or for loss of profits, revenue, goodwill, data, content or business opportunities;
  • our total liability to you for any claim arising out of or relating to the platform is limited to the greater of (a) the fees you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, and (b) £100.

Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited (for example, death or personal injury caused by negligence, or fraud).

14. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Around Tenby Ltd, its directors and employees, against any claims, damages and reasonable costs arising from your breach of these Terms or your misuse of the platform, including any claim that your uploaded or generated content infringes a third party's rights.

15. Privacy

We process personal data in accordance with our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these Terms.

16. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make a material change, we will notify you by email and/or in-app, and may ask you to re-accept the updated Terms the next time you sign in. Continuing to use the platform after an update means you accept the new Terms.

17. Governing law and jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. The courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute, except where applicable consumer law gives you the right to bring proceedings in your country of residence.
